예술인의 본고장 뉴욕답게 메이저리그 올스타전도 예술적(?)으로 축하 세레모니를 벌인다. 뉴욕 양키스 구장에서 열리는 72번째 올스타전을 기념해 미국의 상징 자유 여신상 조각 42개를 만들어 메이저리그 팀들의 색을 입히고는 뉴욕시 곳곳에 이를 세워뒀다.
'The Statues on Parade'으로 불리는 프로모션으로 아티스트 Stephen Holland가 레이디
리버티(Lady Liberty) 모조품에 MLB(Major League Baseball)팀의 상징을 입혔다.
MLB.com의 Enterprise Editor인 Mark Newman는 이번 올스타전을 기념하며 지난 4일 독립기념일에 42개 조각상을 모두 도는 마라톤을 시도,
