This Video is of Son Jong Kim, LAc. on KTV (Korean televison) describing how Oriental Medicine is used to promote health.
How is diagnosis made in oriental medicine?
In Oriental Medicine, 3 main observations are used for diagnosis: 1) Tongue 2) Pulse 3) Abdominal palpation
Acupuncture
Thin sterile single use needles are inserted into the body causing mild sensations that bring about pain relief.
Cupping
Sterile cups are suctioned onto the body to bring better circulation to the affected area and allow toxins trapped in the fibers and tissues of the body to come up to the surface to be removed by the cirulatory sytem, thus bringing pain relief.
